Our Mission

Empowering people to understand themselves, direct their behavior, and create lasting progress.

Our Mission

The mission of the STC Mental Health Awareness & Empowerment Program is to strengthen mental wellness, personal development, and the ability to adapt and thrive across professional and personal environments.

Our Approach

Our person-centered approach supports each participant in identifying their strengths, recognizing unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, and developing practical strategies for healthier decision-making. Program activities are informed by rational-emotive and behavioral principles that connect beliefs, emotions, choices, and outcomes.

Pillars of the Program

Four areas that support sustainable growth

01

Mind

Participants learn how thoughts, beliefs, and interpretations influence emotion and behavior. The goal is to strengthen self-awareness, flexible thinking, and the ability to challenge assumptions that interfere with progress.

02

Behaviors

Growth becomes visible through repeated action. Participants identify habits that support or undermine their goals and practice new responses that improve relationships, work performance, emotional regulation, and daily stability.

03

Self-Perception

How a person sees themselves affects what they believe is possible. STC promotes realistic confidence, positive self-regard, identity development, and a healthier internal narrative grounded in strengths and accountability.

04

Action

Insight is translated into measurable steps. Participants create goal-based plans, identify barriers, build support systems, and practice consistent follow-through in personal, educational, financial, and professional areas.

Keys to Growth

Core outcomes reinforced across every program

Establishing Balance

Creating realistic routines that support mental wellness, responsibilities, relationships, rest, and growth.

Self-Perception

Recognizing how identity, beliefs, past experiences, and self-talk influence choices and confidence.

Positive Self-Regard

Developing self-respect without avoiding responsibility, feedback, or the work required for change.

Goal-Based Behavior

Turning long-term goals into specific, measurable, and repeatable actions.

Our Founders

Person-centered leadership, grounded in practice

STC Mental Health Awareness & Empowerment Program was founded by Victor and Alanna Searcy on a person-centered belief: that people grow best when they are supported in understanding themselves, directing their own behavior, and taking practical steps forward.

That belief shapes everything the program does — from the four pillars that frame our work, to the classes that build real-world skills, to the community transportation support that removes a barrier standing between people and their next opportunity.
